Hi, I have been tasked with selling a Dobro. I know guitars, mandos, banjos but nothing about dobros.
1998 Dobro Style 27
Notice there is a gap where the heel meats the body. Maybe 1mm or less. Are these glued in like a guitar. Is it a hard fix? Does it matter?

Ill try to post a picture but not having luck doing it.

Necks are bolted on, not glued. Usually, if necessary, a shim can be placed under the neck stick to close the gap.

Ok, thank you. Is it a big job. What would a Dobro luthier charge?

You might consider leaving it to the buyer in case they want to perform a set-up on the guitar while its apart....it's not a difficult job at all.
