The first track from our winter recording efforts was released today on a bunch of streaming platforms. The project of mostly original material ranges from honky tonk to Americana. The first release leans more towards Americana and is a dense, dark tune. Resonator guitar takes a turn on this one:
Available to stream on all major platforms.
Happy to answer any questions

That's a good one Howard!
And I like the "forlorn" lead vocals from Michelle.

Thanks Mark.
It's packed with parts ;-).
Trying to recall but i think this may be the only tune on the project with any resonator guitar. The rest, mostly leaning towards 60s-90s country has me on pedal steel (and lap on one track). If you listen carefully to this there's also pedal steel here as a "foundation" as well as some call/response backup with fiddle.
It was a fun tune. Highly arranged.

Yeah I picked up on the pedal steel and the fiddle is prominent. The song is definitely highly arranged.

FWIW..
This tune is geared towards indi/college radio. We had some success with this strategy with our 2021 project with a tune that was designed to be a "hook" for the rest of the project. It worked out well as we ended up on some of the Americana charts, much to our amazement.
Didn't make much money but, it was shocking to see my name in print and it got the band gigs so, there is that.
All part of the business.

I want to hear all the parts! Is the album coming to Qobuz any time soon?

I suspect you'll have to use one of the 13 platforms available.
